The sports festival aims to evaluate the training quality of units in fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue and relief work; test the qualifications and capacity to handle fire and explosion situations of officers and soldiers, especially the skills in operating equipment, means and tools for fire prevention and fighting and the organizational and operational capacity of commanders.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, athletes from 21 teams across the Corps competed in two parts: theory and practice. In the theory part, athletes took a multiple-choice test to learn about the Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue; decrees, circulars, directives, and instructions on fire prevention and fighting.

Practical part, fire truck formation competition; fire fighting sports competition combined with moving assets and fire fighting sports competition, rescuing people from fire.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Major General Tran Trung Hoa stated: “The sports festival is an opportunity for agencies and units in the entire Corps to evaluate physical training and fire prevention and fighting skills. Through the sports festival, the Corps will select athletes, establish a rescue team, fire prevention and fighting, and continue to organize training to participate in the 2025 military-level fire prevention and fighting competition and sports festival.”
