65 years ago, President Ho Chi Minh called on all classes of people to enthusiastically plant trees and forests and he launched the first Tet tree planting movement in the country. Since then, the tree planting movement has become a beautiful traditional cultural feature of our people.
Following Uncle Ho's teachings, in recent years, the armed forces of Can Tho City have actively responded to the movement "Planting trees to forever remember Uncle Ho" with many good and creative ways. Agencies and units have planted hundreds of thousands of trees, of many varieties, not only having economic value, but also contributing to greening the barracks, shading the training grounds, contributing to building a "bright - green - clean - beautiful" cultural environment.
