The squads participating in the sports festival must perform the following contents: Organizing the construction of fortifications in the combat area; general awareness of military, political , logistical-technical; practicing AK submachine gun shooting lesson 1, grenade throwing lesson 1, explosives making lesson 1; practicing tactical movements of each person in offensive combat; movements of commanding each person's team with and without weapons; practicing breaststroke. Of which, the content of building camouflage fortifications is scored by each platoon; the content of general awareness is a competition for the whole platoon; for the remaining 6 contents, each squad draws lots to perform any 2 sports events.

Following the sports festival, we saw that, despite the hot weather, the competition was still taking place enthusiastically on the training ground of Regiment 148 (Division 316). At the infantry combat technical training ground, the CSMs focused highly to achieve high results in the AK submachine gun shooting test, lesson 1. Receiving the notification of achieving excellent scores, Private Le Xuan Thanh (Squad 1, Platoon 1, Regiment 66, Division 304) excitedly shared: “This is the first time I have participated in a military region-level sports festival, so at first I was a bit overwhelmed. But I quickly regained my composure and confidently performed the shooting movements that I had been trained in. The shooting result of 77 points was even higher than the day I conducted the shooting test at the unit.”

In the CSM training competition, the content of AK submachine gun shooting lesson 1, grenade throwing, and explosives were carefully prepared by the Organizing Committee and the units, closely implemented, and strictly maintained the implementation of safety regulations. The general awareness test on military , political, and logistics-technical contents this year has many new features. Each candidate must take a multiple-choice test on the content of the new soldier training program and regular knowledge; at the same time, the Organizing Committee gives many "reverse" questions, requiring officers and soldiers to have a firm grasp of knowledge to be able to answer.

According to Major General Nguyen Dang Khai, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Military Region 2, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Sports Festival: In order for the sports festival to take place with quality and effectiveness, the functional agencies of the Military Region have consulted with the Organizing Committee to draft a complete system of directive and management documents; provide content guidance for units to organize review and practice, focusing on practical content. Before the sports festival takes place, a random draw is organized for each CSM training unit (regiment, brigade level) to have 1 platoon to participate in the sports festival. On the day of the sports festival, each unit will draw lots for the competition content in a public, transparent, objective, and closely supervised manner. “We directed the units to build battlefields, organize accommodation, and combat shelters through situations in which the enemy uses reconnaissance vehicles and drones in combat, applying digital technology and information technology. It can be said that the construction of battlefield fortifications and outdoor accommodation has promoted positivity, creativity, and closeness to combat reality; training methods, working style, and sense of discipline of the troops ...”, Major General Nguyen Dang Khai shared.
