On the afternoon of December 7, the Party Executive Committee of Thai Binh province held a conference to announce the decision of the Politburo to approve Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
At the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Quang Duong announced the Politburo 's Decision approving Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung presented the Politburo 's decision to Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee.
After the decision was announced, on behalf of the Politburo, Mr. Le Minh Hung presented the Politburo's decision to Mr. Nguyen Khac Than.
Previously, on the afternoon of December 2, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than was elected by the Provincial Party Executive Committee to hold the position of Provincial Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term.
With the above decision, Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee now has Secretary Nguyen Khac Than (concurrently Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee), Permanent Deputy Secretary Nguyen Tien Thanh (Chairman of the Provincial People's Council).
Speaking at the conference, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung assessed that Mr. Nguyen Khac Than is a well-trained cadre, matured from the grassroots, experienced many working positions, has capacity, has a scientific, democratic working method, is close to the grassroots, in all working positions always completes tasks well, has important contributions to the development of Thai Binh province.
The Head of the Central Organizing Committee expressed his belief that with his practical experience, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than will successfully complete his tasks in his new position.
In his acceptance speech, the new Secretary of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Khac Than thanked the Politburo and the Secretariat for their trust and confidence in assigning him the new responsibility; he said he would accept the direction of the Head of the Central Organization Commission to include it in his work program and plan in the coming time.

Recognizing the newly assigned task as a great honor and at the same time a heavy responsibility, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than expressed that he will continue to make efforts, uphold the pioneering and exemplary spirit, uphold the Party's principles, promote the role of the nucleus of solidarity, wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly for the common interest, together with the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee to inherit and continue the achievements and development orientations of generations of leaders in new conditions to bring Thai Binh to rapid and sustainable development.
Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, 50 years old, from An Thanh commune, Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh province; has a bachelor's degree in prosecution, a bachelor's degree in law, a master's degree in economic management, and a senior degree in political theory.
Before working at the agencies of Thai Binh province, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than held many positions in the political system in his hometown district of Quynh Phu, such as Deputy Chief of the People's Procuracy, Head of the District Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Head of the District Party Committee Organization Board, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee; Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee, Secretary of the Quynh Phu District Party Committee.
Since 2016, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than has been Director of the Department of Home Affairs and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province. Since October 2020, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than has been Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province.
