On May 13, the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Trade Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to organize the 2025 Voluntary Blood Donation Program - Industry and Trade's Red Drops.
At the program, Ms. Nguyen Minh Hue, Member of the Party Executive Committee, Chairman of the Ministry of Industry and Trade's Trade Union, emphasized that voluntary blood donation is a humanitarian act, demonstrating the spirit of "helping each other", which has been maintained and promoted by the industry for many years.
"We acknowledge and thank the initiative and creativity of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in organizing and spreading that humanitarian spirit. At the same time, we are grateful for the enthusiastic participation of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers," said Ms. Nguyen Minh Hue.
Over the years, the blood donation movement has always received consensus and widespread support from cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and youth union members in the Ministry. The Chairman of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade expressed his deep gratitude to all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the Industry and Trade sector for their spirit of sharing and responsibility to the community.
At the same time, it is recommended that units and Youth Union organizations continue to promote propaganda and mobilization to maintain regular blood donation activities. Gradually develop more meaningful social security activities, spreading the spirit of humanity widely in society.
"I believe that each drop of blood donated is a life left behind. I hope that each cadre, civil servant, employee, and union member in the Industry and Trade sector will continue to promote the spirit of mutual love and support, contributing to creating a positive spread, not only in the sector but also in the community," Ms. Nguyen Minh Hue hopes.
According to Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Tam, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, with the spirit of "Where there is a need, there is youth, where there is difficulty, there is youth", the youth force of the Ministry of Industry and Trade is always ready to pioneer in volunteer activities, social security, especially blood donation to save people - a noble gesture, clearly demonstrating the social responsibility and compassion of today's young generation.
The Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade called on union members and young people to actively respond and register to donate blood to save lives. Each unit of blood donated by a donor is a kind heart to help patients have the opportunity to live or prolong their lives with their own precious blood.
Participating in the blood donation program, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Huyen - Secretary of the Youth Union of Industry and Trade Newspaper shared: Giving away drops of blood is the moment I feel joy and happiness. Like other young people, I hope that my drops of blood will help many patients in need of blood. I believe that every act of charity, every heart that knows how to share will create a more humane society. And I am very proud to be a youth union member of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, spreading these positive values.
Within the framework of the program, the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion awarded the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade a certificate for its outstanding achievements in propaganda, mobilization, and participation in voluntary blood donation.
According to Dr. Ha Huu Nguyen, Head of the Mobile Blood Collection Department, National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, voluntary blood donation programs play an important role in providing a stable blood supply for treatment. Not only do they support blood quantity, these programs also have a strong influence in the community. This is not only a humanitarian gesture but also a civic responsibility, contributing to protecting public health.
"Over the years, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has always been proactive and pioneering in organizing blood donation programs, demonstrating its deep community responsibility. Especially, during times of blood shortage such as summer, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has provided great support to the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, not only in terms of blood quantity, but also in spreading the message of humanity to the community," shared Dr. Ha Huu Nguyen.
At the end of the program, the Organizing Committee recorded 192 blood donors and collected 173 units of blood. These drops of red blood will contribute significantly to the treatment of patients, bringing joy and hope to many families.
