Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard receives two modern patrol boats

On April 28, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held a handover ceremony of two CN-09 patrol and search and rescue vessels and 10 high-speed canoes to the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard.

The two CN-09 ships have registration numbers BP14-19-01 and BP14-19-02.

CN-09 can withstand level 7 and 8 winds and waves; has a maximum speed of 20 nautical miles/hour, and can run continuously for 24 hours. Maximum operating time is 10 days at a speed of 9 - 10 nautical miles/hour, and can rescue up to 25 people. The tugboat can tug fishing boats with a displacement of less than 3,000 tons.

CN-09 is the most modern ship that the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard has been equipped with up to now.

Ho Chi Minh City's investment in building and equipping ships for the border guards is very important, contributing to improving the efficiency of management, protecting sovereignty , security of the city's sea borders and ports; at the same time, enhancing combat readiness and patrolling, controlling, preventing and mitigating natural disasters; conducting rescue, being ready to support and help fishermen working at sea when incidents occur.
