The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued guidelines for college admission in 2025, in the context that state management of vocational education has been transferred from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to the Ministry of Education and Training from March 1, 2025.
Accordingly, college level enrollment in 2025 will continue to be implemented according to Circular No. 05 of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, regulating enrollment regulations and determining enrollment quotas for intermediate and college levels.
Educational institutions need to develop appropriate enrollment plans and strategies to ensure the achievement of set goals.
The Ministry of Education and Training also requires colleges to step up information, propaganda, and admissions consulting; maximize capacity, initiative, and direct and online admissions.
At the same time, schools need to strengthen coordination in career guidance and stream high school graduates into vocational training.
In particular, the Ministry of Education and Training encourages colleges to participate in the common admission system with higher education to expand admission information channels, on a voluntary basis and in compliance with regulations on coordinating the safe and effective operation of the system.
This means colleges will not be required to join the common admissions system with higher education in 2025.
Participating schools will be guided to update information on the Hemis database system during the 2025 enrollment deployment conference, scheduled to be held in May.
Thus, according to Circular No. 05 of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the forms of college admission in 2025 include: selection, entrance exam or a combination of selection and entrance exam.
Admission subjects are people with high school diploma, or people with intermediate diploma with certificate of completion of general education program, or certificate of sufficient high school cultural knowledge volume requirements.
Particularly for health- related fields and professions such as pharmacy, nursing - midwifery, traditional medicine, and dental prosthetics, the minimum required average entrance score is 5.0 or higher, applicable to all forms of admission.
