According to Decision No. 1259/QD-BTTTT signed by Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung, the Ministry of Information and Communications received and appointed Ms. Dang Thi Phuong Thao - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper, under the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Press Department. The decision takes effect from July 15.

At the decision-giving ceremony, the new Deputy Director of the Press Department - Dang Thi Phuong Thao shared that today is a very special day, marking a new milestone in the process from a Youth Union official to a journalist with the title of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper for 14 years and now Deputy Director of the Press Department.
Ms. Dang Thi Phuong Thao commented that journalism is currently a hot field. The new task is also very difficult when having to advise on press management to ensure the correct objectives and policies of the Party and Government , contributing to the overall development of the country.
However, Ms. Thao also believes that with their personal abilities, mettle, and the attention of the ministry's leaders, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung and Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam will continue to promote their abilities in the field of press management.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Minh Triet said that the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Central Youth Union have cooperated a lot in recent years, and in 2022, signed a cooperation agreement with 41 coordinated activities at all levels. The connection between the two sides became even closer when the Ministry of Information and Communications accepted Ms. Dang Thi Phuong Thao - Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper, to take up a new position at the Press Department.
Highly appreciating the capacity, experience and role that Ms. Dang Thi Phuong Thao has contributed to Thanh Nien Newspaper as well as the Central Youth Union over the years, Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Minh Triet hopes that these experiences will continue to be promoted in the role of Deputy Director of the Press Department, as well as contribute more closely to the close relationship between the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Central Youth Union.

Deputy Minister Lam shared and expressed his belief that the Press Department has enough "field" and space for Ms. Phuong Thao to continue to promote and develop her abilities, from the position of a journalist to the position of press manager, with consulting policies on press, including press economics .
According to Deputy Minister Lam, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications has also agreed on the policy of inviting experienced people in the field to work in press management to better communicate policies.
