This year, military schools use 3 admission methods, including: Direct admission, priority admission according to the university admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , regulations of the Ministry of National Defense; Admission based on the results of the capacity assessment exam organized by Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025; Admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam in 2025.
According to the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Admission Circular of the Ministry of National Defense , schools are awarded bonus points for candidates with high achievements in national and international excellent student selection exams or national and international science and technology competitions organized and sent by the Ministry of Education and Training: Candidates who are excellent high school students who won excellent student awards at the provincial or central city level or have certificates of results of international competency assessment exams.
The total admission score consists of 3 components: The candidate's test score in the high school graduation exam or the capacity assessment test score; Incentive points; Regional priority points, priority subjects. Total admission score = Total test score + Incentive points + Priority points.
Regarding the grading scale, the schools agreed to use a 30-point scale, corresponding to the total score of 3 subjects in the admission combination from the results of the High School Graduation Exam on a 10-point scale for admission. At the same time, the scores of the competency assessment test of the 2 national universities will be converted to a 30-point scale for admission.
For the Military Science Academy, the majors that double the Foreign Language score will convert it to a 30-point scale for admission consideration.
For candidates who register for admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam and submit the application for converting foreign language scores and application for bonus points to the school, submit the application for preliminary admission according to the instructions of the school receiving the application (if any). Candidates who register for admission based on the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam shall comply with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Candidates can adjust their admission application, training major, and admission combination in the following school groups:
University training : Group 1, including the following academies: Logistics, Navy, Border Guard, Air Defense - Air Force (Command and Staff system) and officer schools: Army 1, Army 2, Politics, Special Forces, Artillery, Armored Vehicles, Chemical Defense, Information, Engineering. Group 2, including the following academies: Military Engineering, Military Medicine, Military Science, Air Defense - Air Force (Aviation Engineering system).
College training: Candidates can adjust their admission wishes between the following schools: Air Force Officer, College of Cryptography Engineering, College of Information Engineering and College of National Defense Industry.
Candidates register and adjust their wishes according to the time prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training in 2025.
Convert foreign language scores from international language certificate results
The Ministry of National Defense will convert the scores into admission scores for candidates with IELTS scores of 5.5 or higher or TOEFL iBT scores of 55 or higher. The Academy of Military Sciences will convert scores for candidates with TRKI-2 Russian language certificates or higher to apply for admission to the Russian Language major, and with HSK-4 Chinese language certificates or higher to apply for admission to the Chinese Language major.
In addition, schools do not apply foreign language score conversion for international language certificates taken at home.
In case candidates take the high school graduation exam in a foreign language and use a foreign language certificate to convert their admission score, the option with the higher score will be given priority. Foreign language certificates are valid until August 22, 2025.

Convert equivalent scores between admission methods
In case candidates use the Hanoi National University's competency assessment test to register for admission, each school has its own regulations as follows: Military Technical Academy considers admission for 3 exam codes: Q01 (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Q02 (Physics, Chemistry, History) and Q03 (Physics, Chemistry, Geography).
Military Medical Academy recruits students based on 7 exam codes: Q01 (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Q02 (Physics, Chemistry, History) and Q03 (Physics, Chemistry, Geography), Q04 (Physics, Biology, History), Q05 (Physics, Biology, Geography), Q06 (Chemistry, Biology, History), Q07 (Chemistry, Biology, Geography).
Bonus points
Candidates who are eligible for multiple incentive points will only receive the highest incentive point.
Group 1: Students who won national and international excellent student awards and national and international science and technology competitions organized by the Ministry of Education and Training and were sent to participate (additional points will be added when candidates do not use the right to direct admission or priority admission):

Regional priority points, object priority points.
Regional priority points and subject priority points are determined according to the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. In which, the priority point (DUT) is the sum of regional priority points and subject priority points, depending on the results achieved, the priority point is determined as follows:
Candidates with exam results plus incentive points below 22.5 points: PASS = Regional priority points + Subject priority points.
Candidates with exam results plus incentive points of 22.5 points or more: DUT = [(30 - Total exam score - Incentive points)/7.5] x (Regional priority points + Subject priority points)
The total exam score is the total score of 3 subjects in the admission combination based on the high school graduation exam results or the results of the competency assessment exam of 2 national universities after conversion.
The Ministry of National Defense notes that candidates who have completed the school admission process according to the admission plan, if they meet the admission requirements (except for the high school graduation requirement), must continue to register their highest admission wish (wish 1) on the Ministry of Education and Training's General Admission Support System to be considered for admission according to regulations.
