Attending the inspection were representatives of agencies of the Ministry of National Defense ; Military Region 4 Command, and leaders of Nghe An province.
At the working session, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc and the delegation listened to the Military Command and Border Guard Command of Nghe An province report on the implementation of military and defense tasks in the area and the plan to arrange local military agencies.

Accordingly, in the first 6 months of the year, the Military Command and the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province have consulted and deployed all aspects of work synchronously and comprehensively and completed the assigned tasks well. Therein, focusing on directing the improvement of the quality of combat readiness, coordinating to grasp the situation, effectively handling incidents occurring in border areas and sea areas, avoiding being passive and surprised, maintaining stability in the area; organizing the adjustment and full supplementation of the combat readiness document system in accordance with regulations; effectively implementing projects, programs and plans in the military and defense fields, building military postures and defense works to ensure progress.
Regarding the results of organizing and arranging local military agencies, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command has proactively issued documents directing and guiding, coordinating with relevant agencies, units and localities; developing plans, organizing 5 working groups to survey and review; deploying preparatory work in the area where 5 Regional Defense Commands (PTKV) are expected to be arranged; coordinating with the Provincial Border Guard Command to organize a conference to unify the contents that need to be coordinated.

At the Provincial Military Command and the PTKV 1-Van An Command, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc focused on inspecting plans for deployment, arrangement and use of troops; adjusting the organization and staff; ensuring offices and accommodation for cadres and professional staff after rearranging the Regional Defense Command; supplementing and perfecting the system of combat documents; plans for management and use of combat works and defense works.
The Deputy Chief of the General Staff also inspected the plans for dissolution and establishment of Party organizations, including the organizational structure and leadership mechanism of newly established Party organizations; the work of grasping the ideological situation and resolving the regime and policies for soldiers retiring before the age limit; the plan for managing and arranging weapons and technical equipment at the PTKV Command Boards; the work of managing, using, and settling public finances and assets; the current situation and plan for handling the system of facilities, barracks, and vehicles at the district-level Military Command Boards after dissolution; the current situation and plan for perfecting and reorganizing the commune-level Military Command Boards and the militia and self-defense forces, etc.
At the inspection, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Military Command and the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province in performing well the national defense tasks, maintaining political security and social order and safety.
To continue effectively implementing the project to reorganize local military agencies, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc requested units to continue to research and closely review the contents of the reorganization of local military agencies to ensure quality, compliance with regulations, and suitability with mission requirements in the new situation.
