The Ministry of Finance informed that there are still more than 13,700 surplus houses and lands waiting to be processed.

Responding to questions from reporters of the Tin Tuc and Dan Toc newspaper at the press conference of the Ministry of Finance held on the afternoon of October 3, Mr. Le Tuan Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of State Asset Management under the Ministry of Finance, said that as of September 30, nationwide, more than 14,050 houses and land have been processed after implementing the 2-level government model. The number of facilities that need to continue processing is 13,759 in 34 provinces and cities.

According to Mr. Le Tuan Anh, to ensure effective use of the headquarters, the Ministry of Finance has submitted to competent authorities to issue handling plans, with priority given to the fields of science, health, and education .

Recently, the Ministry has issued 13 documents guiding ministries, branches and localities in arranging and handling public assets.

According to periodic statistics, the progress of implementation is assessed as positive, the number of facilities that need to be handled is gradually decreasing. For central units located in the area, the Ministry of Finance has requested to review and coordinate with localities to exchange or hand over when no longer needed to avoid waste.

Recently, the Ministry of Finance continued to send documents to the People's Committees of provinces, cities, ministries and branches, requesting to promote and direct strongly in the coming period to thoroughly handle surplus housing and land facilities.
