( Bqp.vn ) - On the afternoon of December 12, in Hanoi , the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army held a closing ceremony and awarded Pickleball prizes, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).

After 3 days of exciting competition with the sports spirit of “Solidarity, Honesty, Nobility”, “Health to build and protect the Fatherland”, the Pickleball tournament was a great success. The competition contents were drawn, divided into groups to compete in a round-robin format; the best teams of each group were selected to compete in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.
The Organizing Committee awarded First, Second and Third prizes to male pairs aged 45 and over.
According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, during the competition, all matches were exciting, safe, united and fair. With the spirit of enthusiastic competition, the athletes gave the audience many good and beautiful plays, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere. The participating teams respected and strictly followed the tournament rules, the referee's decisions as well as the regulations of the Organizing Committee.

Results: Mixed doubles: Department of Military Training (First prize), Department of Maps (Second prize), Department of Standards - Measurement - Quality and College of Cryptography Technology (joint third prize). Men's doubles aged 45 and over: Department of Politics (First prize), Department of Logistics (Second prize), Department of Military Training and Department of Standards - Measurement - Quality (joint third prize). Men's doubles aged under 45: Department of Military Training (First prize), Department of Logistics (Second prize), Department of Politics, Institute of Military Science and Technology (joint third prize).
