Welcoming President Izumi's visit to Vietnam, which took place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations (1973-2023), Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son assessed that Vietnam-Japan relations are at their best stage in history; with the support of the Governments , political parties and people of the two countries, the relationship between the two countries has favorable conditions to develop to new heights.
Expressing his gratitude for the support of President Izumi and the Constitutional Democratic Party in promoting friendly cooperation with Vietnam in recent times, Minister Bui Thanh Son suggested that the Constitutional Democratic Party continue to strengthen exchange activities between the two Parties; support the strengthening of bilateral relations in traditional areas such as investment, trade, tourism , labor cooperation and new areas of cooperation such as digital transformation, green transformation, energy transformation, etc.

The Minister also asked the Constitutional Democratic Party to promote local, people-to-people, cultural and tourism exchanges between the two countries, especially in the year marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations; and support the creation of favorable conditions for the community of nearly 500,000 Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Japan.
At the meeting, the head of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs highly appreciated the role of Congressman Aoyagi, Deputy Head of the International Committee of the Constitutional Democratic Party, who has made many contributions to the successful organization of the Vietnam Festival in Tokyo - one of the largest foreign festivals in Japan, contributing to promoting cultural and tourism cooperation between the two countries.

Sharing his impressions of Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements in recent times, Mr. Izumi Kenta affirmed that the Constitutional Democratic Party has always supported the Japanese Government's policy of strengthening cooperative relations with Vietnam over the past years, considering Vietnam a leading important partner in the region.
Informing that the Constitutional Democratic Party has just signed a Memorandum of Understanding on promoting exchanges and cooperation with the Communist Party of Vietnam, Mr. Izumi Kenta expressed his wish to further promote exchanges between female and young parliamentarians between the two countries; proposed to strengthen economic, trade and investment cooperation, the Vietnamese Government has policies to create a favorable and transparent investment environment, contributing to attracting more Japanese enterprises to Vietnam.
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed international and regional issues of mutual concern.
