In the heroic atmosphere of the whole country towards the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025), on the morning of August 15, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism officially launched the "Identity" Contest.
Mr. Chu Tien Dat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Multimedia Communications Corporation (VTC) - the unit assigned to preside over and coordinate with the Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the "Identity" Contest, said that this is not only a contest but also an opportunity for every Vietnamese citizen to continue writing the glorious story of the nation in the language of the digital age. Through the use of digital media platforms and the application of artificial intelligence (AI), the contest will contribute to strongly spreading Vietnamese cultural and spiritual values to the domestic and international communities.
Mr. Dat emphasized that the "Sac" Contest is organized to encourage and mobilize the broad participation of the community in learning, preserving and promoting Vietnamese cultural identity; contributing to promoting the image of the country and Vietnamese people to the world .

Mr. Dat said that the Contest is designed with two main parts to ensure diversity and appeal: Vodcast “Identity Dialogue” is a creative contest, encouraging contestants to produce short videos (vodcasts) to share experiences, stories, and unique perspectives on topics related to Vietnamese cultural identity. The organizers hope that this will be a multi-dimensional forum, where traditional values are connected with contemporary culture.
Meanwhile, the “Understanding Identity” quiz focuses on knowledge about Vietnamese history, culture, arts, tourism and people. The questions will also cover the outstanding achievements of the Cultural Sector over the past 80 years, helping participants consolidate and expand their knowledge.
The contest is open to all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners living, studying and working in Vietnam, without age, gender or occupation restrictions.
Vodcast submission period is from August 15, 2025 to August 25, 2025. Voting for Vodcast and Knowledge Contest will be held from August 28, 2025 to September 6, 2025.

At the Press Conference and launching of the “Identity” Contest, Mr. Nguyen Huu Ngoc, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shared: The “Identity” Contest is a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector’s Traditional Day; creating an environment for the community to express their love for their homeland and country through forms of expression suitable for the digital age trend.
The contest is not only a playground, but also an effective way to educate, honor and spread core cultural values and Vietnamese identity to all classes of people, especially the young generation.
In the context of digital transformation, the application of digital media platforms and artificial intelligence (AI) contributes to improving the effectiveness of reaching and interacting with the public in a new, modern and lively way; thereby promoting community cohesion, arousing national pride and love for Vietnamese culture.
“The contest is expected to become a powerful media highlight, arousing interest and learning about national culture on digital platforms. By applying artificial intelligence, the Organizing Committee hopes to bring a modern, fair and objective cultural playground,” Mr. Ngoc emphasized.
