(QNO) - The Ministry of Health has just issued a warning to people not to buy and use two suspected fake health food products, which are the product "An ngon Baby Shark" and the product "Medi Kid Calcium K2".

These are 2 products manufactured by Herbitech Technology Company Limited, located at Block 8, Phu Lo Commune, Soc Son District, Hanoi City.

The inspection results showed that these products did not have valid product declaration reception numbers, and showed signs of counterfeit labels, deceiving consumers.

The Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health ) requires individuals and business organizations to immediately stop selling and recall violating products if detected. Local management agencies need to increase communication and widely warn people, especially in traditional markets and rural areas - which are "hot spots" for consuming functional foods of unknown origin.

Faced with the complicated situation of trading health protection foods of unknown origin, the Ministry of Health has simultaneously issued many drastic instructions, requiring localities and units to tighten the fight against counterfeit and poor quality goods.

Accordingly, recently, the market has seen a situation of health protection foods being counterfeited, imitating famous product labels, deceiving consumers, potentially causing many health risks, especially for children and sick people. The Ministry has requested competent agencies to increase inspections and surprise checks; at the same time, strictly handle production and business establishments that violate the law.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health has documents warning people about the signs of fake medicines and health protection foods so that people know and do not use these fake products.

Currently, the production and trade of fake drugs and health protection products are still complicated. Subjects have used many tricks to conceal their actions, especially using social networks and the internet to buy and sell fake drugs and health protection products, not through official distribution channels.

Request localities to launch a peak campaign to fight against fake drugs and health protection products of unknown origin as well as strengthen inspection and examination of pharmaceutical businesses, focusing on checking the origin of drugs and health protection products as required by the Ministry of Health for localities.
