The professional training course was organized by the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions in coordination with Lam Dong Provincial Political School from September 3-5.
Speaking at the opening of the training course, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tan, Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, emphasized: Religious work is a special field. In order to fully and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on religion; at the same time, to fight against hostile forces that take advantage of religious beliefs to violate the law, the role of cadres and civil servants working in religious work is extremely important.

In particular, the implementation of religious and belief work according to the 2-level local government model in the first phase after the organizational restructuring has also revealed many difficulties and problems. Especially the challenge of grasping the situation of the management area, digital transformation in public service activities and the issue of updating, synchronously and effectively implementing central and provincial regulations on the organization of 2-level local governments; on decentralization, delegation of power and assignment of authority, functions and tasks in the field of religious and belief according to assigned authority.
In addition, the team of cadres and civil servants doing religious work at the grassroots level is new, inexperienced, frequently changing, and having to take on many different tasks... leading to some work contents in practice being confused and passive.

During 3 days, 124 students were trained in knowledge and in-depth content on religious and belief work.
In particular, reporters from the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, the Department of Construction, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and the Provincial Police will convey the following topics: Overview of Catholicism, Protestantism, Buddhism, Cao Dai, Bani Islam, and Brahmanism; viewpoints and policies of the Party and State on beliefs and religions, some issues to note in the State management of beliefs and religions; implementation of administrative procedures related to beliefs and religions according to the 2-level local government model; key content in resolving land and construction issues related to religion; work to ensure religious security and viewpoints on handling new religious phenomena...
Through the training program to foster and improve the professional skills of cadres and civil servants working in religious affairs at the grassroots level. Thereby, solving difficulties and problems from practice, ensuring unified, continuous, smooth, uninterrupted and effective activities of belief and religion when organizing a 2-level local government model.
Currently, Lam Dong province has 312 legal religious establishments, 24 state-recognized religious organizations in operation, with over 1.5 million followers (accounting for about 43% of the province's population), 3,500 dignitaries, 6,700 officials; 1,284 legal religious establishments; 4 religious training establishments...
