Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi inspected National Highway 28B Project

On the morning of October 22, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi led a working delegation to inspect the progress of site clearance and construction of the National Highway 28B Renovation and Upgrade Project.

Comrade Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province led the working delegation to inspect the construction progress of the National Highway 28B Renovation and Upgrade Project.

Attending the working delegation were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Ngoc Hiep, along with leaders of departments and branches.

The Project to Renovate and Upgrade National Highway 28B through Lam Dong Province was approved by the Ministry of Construction in Decision No. 1495/QD-BGTVT, dated November 16, 2023. The project has a route length of 68km, with a total investment of VND 1,435 billion.

The Project Investor is the Vietnam Road Administration. The unit directly managing the project is Project Management Board 5. The project started in April 2024, is expected to be completed in December 2025 and complete the project closing procedures in 2026.

The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 28B has a total length of about 68km, with a total investment of more than 1,400 billion VND.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee is the unit carrying out the site clearance work. The entire project has 980 affected cases. Up to now, the site clearance work has been completed for 62/68km, reaching 91.17%.

Units are constructing in areas where the land has been cleared.

According to the investor's report at the site, up to now, the construction units are constructing on the site within the scope of the handed over site.

Construction progress of crushed stone mixture reached 44/62km; asphalt concrete pavement was compacted about 37/62km.

The project investor is the Vietnam Road Administration and the direct management unit is Project Management Board 5.

However, according to the management unit's report, in many sections the site has been handed over by the locality, but the construction progress has not met the requirements.

The reason is that in some sections, the construction unit has not fully arranged machinery, equipment and human resources at the construction site.

The clearance work has been completed for 62/68km, reaching 91.17%. Some sections have been completed.

Some sections of the route are stuck with site clearance, affecting construction progress.

Comrade Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the units to coordinate and promptly hand over the site for project construction.
