Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi inspects the National Highway 28B Project.

On the morning of October 22nd, Mr. Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, led a working group to inspect the progress of land clearance and construction of the National Highway 28B Renovation and Upgrade Project.

The delegation included Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Ngoc Hiep, along with leaders from various departments and agencies.

The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 28B through Lam Dong province was approved by the Ministry of Construction in Decision No. 1495/QD-BGTVT, dated November 16, 2023. The project has a total length of 68km and a total investment of 1,435 billion VND.

The project's investor is the Vietnam Road Administration. The project is directly managed by Project Management Board 5. Construction commenced in April 2024, is expected to be completed in December 2025, and all project completion procedures will be finalized in 2026.

The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 28B has a total length of approximately 68km and a total investment of over 1,400 billion VND.

The People's Committee of Lam Dong province is the unit responsible for land clearance. The entire project affects 980 households. To date, land clearance has been completed for 62 out of 68 km, reaching 91.17%.

Construction units are currently working in areas where land has been cleared.

According to the investor's report from the site, the construction units are currently working on the site within the areas where the land has been handed over.

The construction progress for the crushed stone base layer has reached 44/62km; the compacted asphalt concrete paving has been completed for approximately 37/62km.

The project's investor is the Vietnam Road Administration, and the direct managing unit is Project Management Board 5.

However, according to the management unit's report, in many sections where the land has been handed over by the local authorities, the construction progress has not met the requirements.

The reason is that in some sections of the route, the construction unit has not yet deployed sufficient machinery, equipment, and personnel on the construction site.

Land clearance work has been completed for 62 out of 68 km, reaching 91.17%. Construction on some sections of the route has been finished.

Some sections of the route are facing land clearance issues, which is affecting the construction progress.

Comrade Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested that the relevant units coordinate and promptly hand over the land for the project's construction.
