Da Nang allocates nearly 9,000 billion VND for compensation and resettlement of high-speed railway project

DNO - The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just issued Decision No. 2868/QD-UBND approving component project 1: Compensation, support and resettlement for the high-speed railway on the North-South axis, from Thu Bon River to the northern border of Da Nang City. The total investment of the project is nearly 9,000 billion VND.

The project is invested by the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Transport and Agriculture in Da Nang, implemented in the period 2025 - 2028. The scope of implementation spans the communes and wards of Hai Van, Lien Chieu, Hoa Khanh, Ba Na, Cam Le, Hoa Vang, Hoa Tien, Dien Ban Bac and Dien Ban Tay.

The main contents include: compensation, site clearance, relocation of affected technical infrastructure and construction of resettlement areas and cemeteries to ensure people's rights, stabilize their lives and meet the construction progress of the high-speed railway line.

The funding for implementation comes from the central budget, the city budget and other legal sources. The City People's Committee assigns the investor to organize and implement the next procedures in accordance with regulations; relevant departments and branches coordinate to monitor and support the implementation process.

The North-South high-speed railway line passing through Da Nang is more than 116km long, passing through 24 communes and wards. The city plans to reclaim more than 866ha of land, arrange about 5,100 resettlement lots, build 34 resettlement areas and 13 cemeteries. The total capital demand for site clearance and resettlement is more than 19,500 billion VND.
