Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) Nguyen Dong Trung said that up to now, Vietnam has established diplomatic relations with 195 countries, built a framework of strategic partnerships and comprehensive partnerships with 38 countries, is a member of more than 70 regional and global multilateral organizations and forums; has economic and trade relations with nearly 130 partners and has signed 16 free trade agreements (FTAs) with other countries. In the context of international integration, updating knowledge and skills for civil servants and public employees working in foreign affairs and international cooperation is necessary to ensure professionalism in the process of implementing and handling work.
