Old bomb exploded in durian garden in Hung Thuan commune

On September 1, according to information from the People's Committee of Hung Thuan commune, Tay Ninh province, an old bomb explosion occurred in the commune, suspected to be from the war.

Initial information, the explosion occurred at around 2am the same day in the durian garden of the people in Trang Sa hamlet, Hung Thuan commune. The bomb was underground and exploded, creating a hole about 5m deep, the affected area was about ^50m2 . Fortunately, at the time of the explosion, there was no significant damage.

Immediately after the incident, the People's Committee of Hung Thuan commune coordinated with local police and military forces to block off the scene and ensure safety in the area.

Luckily the incident did not cause much damage.

At the same time, the People's Committee of the commune reported to the Defense Command of Area 2 - Go Dau, Tay Ninh province to organize inspection, verification and handling according to regulations. The People's Committee of Hung Thuan commune also advised people when discovering strange objects suspected to be bombs or mines not to arbitrarily impact, move or use them and promptly notify the authorities or functional forces for handling, to ensure safety./.
