After the match, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet shared: “After many times facing Thailand and suffering defeat, I see this match as the last chance, an important test for us to prepare for the goal of winning a gold medal at the SEA Games.

The coaching staff and the players all showed determination and gave their best. Matches like this are an opportunity to test out strategies and help the players hone their skills and competitive mentality. Even though we lost the first two sets, I still have faith in my players. Today, they proved it.”

“If you observe carefully, today we have had a clear change in the defensive system. The highlight is that Bich Tuyen switched to the back row at position 6, instead of position 1 as usual. This is a plan to surprise the opponent. Besides, we also found many other attacking options,” Mr. Nguyen Tuan Kiet emphasized.

Meanwhile, setter Bich Tuyen said: “In the first two sets, Thailand tightened the serve, making us overwhelmed. But in the third set, the coaching staff made timely adjustments, helping the whole team learn from experience, overcome the first block and promote the attacking strength to win. In the first leg in Thailand, I encountered some difficulties in front of the opponent's block and there were times when I did not handle myself well. However, today, the whole team supported me a lot and helped me gain confidence to promote my attacking ability.”

According to Mr. Le Tri Truong - General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, the victory of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team is a result of high professional value that helps improve the players' spirit positively. This creates a big boost for the team in the next goals.

After finishing the second stage of SEA V.League, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team moved to Dong Anh ( Hanoi ) to carry out the next training program. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team will practice with the Kenyan women's team and the Spanish women's team.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Kiet said: "The head coach and coaching staff set a clear goal at the world tournament, which is to try to exchange, learn, and compete to improve their skills. But the most important goal is still the SEA Games."

At the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team was assigned the goal of winning the gold medal. According to the initial assessment of experts, this is a big challenge for coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team as Thailand is always a big challenge.
