Vietnam volleyball team won silver medal
This is a commendable achievement for coach Tran Dinh Tien and his team, because last season, the Vietnamese volleyball team disappointed when they finished last out of the four participating teams.
In the first round of the SEA V.League this year in the Philippines, the Vietnamese team had an impressive victory over Thailand but lost to the Philippines and Indonesia, so they finished third. In the second round, the Vietnamese team continued to surpass Thailand and defeated their "nemesis" the Philippines to rise to the second place.

Watching the Vietnamese players compete in this year's SEA V.League, the coaches highly appreciated the stable performance of the main scorer Nguyen Ngoc Thuan. In addition, at important moments, when Ngoc Thuan was "blocked" by the opponent, other strikers such as Pham Van Hiep, Pham Quoc Du, Quan Trong Nghia, Nguyen Van Hai, Truong The Khai also "shared the fire" with their teammates. This is a positive change compared to before, when the success or failure of the Vietnamese team depended too much on Ngoc Thuan. With positive changes in both personnel and playing style, if carefully trained, the Vietnamese team promises to explode at the 33rd SEA Games in December in Thailand.
However, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team also needs to overcome weaknesses such as defense and one-step catching. In addition, it is also necessary to practice more diverse attack strategies to surprise the opponent. The Vietnamese players also need to have high concentration to avoid losing points at important times.
Mr. Le Tri Truong, General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, said that the main task of the Vietnam team is to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games. According to the plan, the men's and women's volleyball teams will have a training trip to Japan. This is an opportunity for coach Tran Dinh Tien and his team to hone and perfect their playing style before embarking on the journey to conquer the SEA Games gold medal.
