BSR excellently won 9 Gold medals at Petrovietnam Sports Festival

After 2 days of exciting competition in many sports, the athletes of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) have excellently achieved many high achievements with a total of 28 medals at the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group (Petrovietnam) Sports Festival in the Northern region in 2025.

On June 8, 2025, the Petrovietnam Sports Festival in the Northern region in 2025 officially ended after 2 days of exciting competition. The Sports Festival was organized to practically celebrate the 135th anniversary of the birth of beloved Uncle Ho; the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; compete to achieve achievements to welcome Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress; celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Petrovietnam (1975-2025); celebrate the 64th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Industry; towards the 16th Oil and Gas Cultural Week...

The Petrovietnam Sports Festival in the Northern region is not only an inspirational event but also an opportunity for workers to exchange, learn, and enhance solidarity. At the same time, it demonstrates the bravery, strong will and aspiration to rise up, towards a dynamic lifestyle, actively practicing sports following the example of beloved Uncle Ho.

With practical meanings, the Petrovietnam Sports Festival 2025 attracted more than 1,200 athletes from 21 affiliated unions to enthusiastically participate. 10 sports were held on June 7 and 8, hundreds of medals were won by athletes to find their "owners". The Sports Festival also brought many emotions, meaningful and noble sports moments, thereby creating a useful and practical playground to help create a playground and connect employees throughout the Group.

Participating in this year's Sports Festival, BSR athletes participated with a large force, competing in 7/10 events. In the final result, BSR won the second prize overall with 9 Gold medals, 13 Silver medals, 6 Bronze medals.

Of which, there are 9 Gold medals from athletics, swimming, tennis, pickleball, chess...; 13 Silver medals from swimming, athletics, table tennis, badminton... There are 6 Bronze medals competing in badminton, table tennis...

With excellent results after many rounds of competition, the final result, BSR Delegation achieved the second prize with a total of 28 medals.

Petrovietnam Sports Festival in the North took place from June 7-8. The Sports Festival had the participation of more than 1,200 athletes from 21 affiliated Trade Unions.

The Sports Festival Organizing Committee presented souvenir flags to participating Trade Unions.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Kha - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union and Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang - General Director of BSR awarded medals to the athletes in the Pickleball category. The BSR delegation excellently won the Gold medal in the men's and women's category.

BSR delegation continued to achieve high results in Chess - Chinese Chess with many Gold medals awarded after the competition.

In Pickleball, BSR delegation also achieved many excellent results. BSR male athlete pair won first prize with 2 gold medals.

In the Men's and Women's Pickleball category, BSR also excelled with the first place achievement.

In Athletics, athletes also achieved many high achievements with Gold and Silver medals.

Swimming also brought many gold, silver and bronze medals to BSR athletes.
