"Feast" of folk culture quintessence is about to take place in Ninh Binh

Non Khe communal house relic (Yen Tu commune) will bring a cultural festival of scenes and Xam singing performance art.

The first Folk Culture Festival of typical relics of Ninh Binh province - 2025 with the theme "Historical and cultural relics of Ninh Binh province converge and spread thousand-year values" aims to convey the message "Honoring heritage - Connecting the community - Sustainable development".

The venue is at the National Historical - Cultural Relic of Lanh Giang Temple (Duy Tan Ward, Ninh Binh Province). The expected time is 2 days in mid-November.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh province Vu Thanh Lich: The festival is an opportunity to propagate and raise awareness of all levels, sectors and the community in restoring and promoting traditional cultural values in general, historical - cultural relics and scenic spots in particular, contributing to building and developing advanced Ninh Binh culture and people, fostering national identity.

This is also an opportunity to introduce traditional culture and typical historical and cultural values of relics to a large number of people, tourists from all over the world as well as international friends.

The festival will help the Management Boards of relics in the province have the opportunity to meet, exchange and share experiences in management, conservation, restoration and mobilize social resources in preserving and promoting the value of relics in localities.

At the same time, this is also a practical activity to celebrate the anniversaries of important holidays and political events of the country and Ninh Binh province in 2025, to welcome the 1st Congress of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, and to celebrate Vietnam Heritage Day on November 23.

The first Ninh Binh Province Folk Culture Festival of Typical Monuments in 2025 will be a place where the quintessence of folk culture of the ancient capital converges. People and tourists will be able to admire folk performing arts at relics such as: Cheo singing, Lai Len dancing, Trong Quan singing, Xam singing, communal house singing, etc.

The first Ninh Binh Province Folk Culture Festival of Typical Relics in 2025 is an opportunity to introduce traditional culture and typical historical and cultural values of the relics to a large number of people and tourists from all over the world as well as international friends.

In addition, social customs and beliefs are also performed at relics such as: sacrificial rituals, customs associated with sacrificial activities commemorating victory days, birth days, death days... of village guardian spirits, as well as other religious practices.

Along with that, this festival will also bring folk and ethnic sports such as: lion dance, linh dance, drum performance, rice cooking competition, ball wrestling, bridge robbing...

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh, Chief of Office of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh province, said: There are currently 8 delegations with 8 typical relics participating in the first Folk Culture Festival of typical relics of Ninh Binh province - 2025.

The relics will perform the quintessence of folk culture such as: Tran Temple relic, Pho Minh pagoda will perform "saint worship ritual"; Non Khe communal house relic will perform "Xam singing art"; Chay communal house relic will perform "Drum Quan singing art"; Tran Thuong temple relic will perform "Saint Tran's price"; Lieu Doi communal house will perform "Lieu Doi wrestling" ritual...

Mr. An Viet Tho, Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Yen Tu commune, shared: This festival, the locality brought two special folk performances: the scene "Non Khe Village - From the clear stream to the heroic bloodline" performed by 10 artisans and people and the Xam song "A Non Khe heritage land" performed by 7 artisans and people.

Over the past months, we, together with the Non Khe communal house relic management board and local artisans and people, have been diligently practicing the scene and Xam songs to bring to the festival the best and most impressive performances for tourists and people to enjoy as well as to understand more about the beautiful folk culture of the nation.
