July Promotional Day Explosion: Promoting Digital Consumption

The Hanoi City Concentrated Promotion Program 2025 officially kicked off with the first highlight event - "July Promotion Festival".

With the theme “Smart consumption – Stimulating shopping”, the event aims to promote domestic consumption, support the consumption of goods and promote Vietnamese brands, while promoting cashless payments, responding to the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods”.

Increased competition, shaping modern consumer culture

According to Mr. Nguyen The Hiep - Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Industry and Trade clearly identified that the Concentrated Promotion Program is not only a simple consumer event, but also a tool to promote domestic market development, increase the competitiveness of enterprises in the capital, and at the same time shape a civilized and modern consumer culture of the people.

"Through the program, we also integrate sustainable trade elements such as developing a green, smart consumer ecosystem, prioritizing Vietnamese goods with clear origins, increasing promotions on e-commerce, and limiting intermediary costs," said Mr. Hiep.

The event attracted the participation of about 1,000 - 2,000 businesses and points of sale across Hanoi. Major retail chains and supermarkets, such as Central Retail (GO!, Topmarkets), BRGmart, Fujimart, Winmart, Aeon, Lotte, Co.opmart, MediaMart, Pico, Soi Bien, HomeFarm, Hacom, ... all simultaneously launched attractive promotional programs, with discounts of up to over 50% for thousands of products.

The units also organize many attractive gift programs, additional discounts when paying without cash, arranging experiences with modern, convenient and time-saving payment methods for consumers.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hang - Director of GO! Thang Long supermarket, in 2025, the Hanoi City Concentrated Promotion Program will have many notable innovations. As the focal point for implementation, the Department of Industry and Trade has promoted communication, provided early information and clear orientation for businesses. Thanks to that, the awareness and initiative of retail units have been significantly improved.

"GO! and Tops Market supermarkets have carefully prepared goods, expanded their promotional product catalog, and designed more diverse and creative forms of incentives to attract consumers - from shock price promotions, point accumulation, shopping combos to incentives via phone applications and digital platforms," said Ms. Hang.

In particular, at the key events in July and November, people will be able to explore the digital transformation space "Touch technology, live smart" - where units organize many cashless consumer experience activities, such as: Shopping via app, QR code, online flash sale, trying digital payment devices and accessing artificial intelligence (AI) applications.

These innovations not only help enhance the shopping experience but also contribute to changing consumer habits in a modern direction, strongly promoting e-commerce and digital consumption in the capital.

Promotional month kick-off program

Along with promotional activities at chain stores, a special fair space called “July Promotion Day” will take place from July 30 to August 3, at Roman Square – An Binh City Urban Area, No. 232-234 Pham Van Dong Street, Phu Dien Ward.

Here, consumers will experience shopping at 100 booths with discounts up to 50%; explore the commercial street space, the technology electronics street, visit the digital technology experience area "Touch technology - Smart living" and "AI - Artificial intelligence, connecting the future", and learn about and support "Proud of Vietnamese products" products at the Vietnamese goods area.

In particular, consumers coming to the fair will be able to participate in many game shows, interact and receive attractive gifts such as "Get the right price - Win gifts immediately", "Balloon shooter - Hunt for shocking deals for 0 VND" and lucky draw activities with hundreds of valuable gifts.

To promote cashless consumption, this year's event also has the participation of many major brands in the technology and finance fields, such as Vinaphone, Nextpay, Momo and major banks.

These businesses will simultaneously deploy modern payment solutions such as QR code, one-touch, ordering via application... to help improve the convenient consumer experience in the digital age. In particular, Vinaphone supports free creation of SmartCA personal digital signature.

Mr. Do Van Tu, Northern Sales Director, Nextpay Digital Transformation Group Joint Stock Company, said that in the 2025 Hanoi city-focused promotion program, the company has a special incentive program for all sellers who register for the event, which is a 50% discount on the purchase price of TingboxS transfer announcement speaker equipment along with some visa payment incentives, 0% installment payment for orders over 1 million, and communication support to help sellers create convenience for consumers and increase sales.

With a series of diverse activities, from extensive promotional programs, digital technology experiences, to trade promotion and promotion of Vietnamese goods, the Hanoi City Concentrated Promotion Program 2025 is expected to contribute to effectively connecting production and consumption, promoting domestic consumption and increasing revenue for businesses.

At the same time, the event aims to complete the city's GRDP growth target of 8% or more in 2025, raising the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the entire capital to a growth rate of 14%, in accordance with the spirit of Directive No. 04/CT-UBND dated March 28, 2025 of the Hanoi People's Committee.
