Special film screening honoring President Ho Chi Minh in Greece

At the film screening on the evening of May 19, the Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Greek Communist Party emphasized: "President Ho Chi Minh is not only the one who enlightened the Vietnamese revolution but also the international Communist movement."

On the occasion of the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh , on the evening of May 19, the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece organized a special film screening about President Ho Chi Minh.

Attending were Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Communist Party of Greece, Comrade Seretakis Nikos, Cuban Ambassador to Greece, Communist Party members and Greek friends.

Speaking at the film screening, Vietnamese Ambassador to Greece Pham Thi Thu Huong affirmed that along with the launch of the book “Ho Chi Minh’s Biography” in Greek, the screening of the film “Ho Chi Minh: the journey of creating culture and peace is a meaningful and profound activity to commemorate the genius leader of the Party and the Vietnamese people, the great teacher of the Vietnamese revolution, the national liberation hero, the world cultural celebrity, the close friend of the peoples fighting for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress around the world.

For his part, Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Greek Communist Party, Comrade Seretakis Nikos, emphasized: “President Ho Chi Minh is not only the one who enlightened the Vietnamese revolution but also the international Communist movement.”

Under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnamese people won victory in the struggle for national liberation.

Not only a great leader, President Ho Chi Minh is also a world cultural celebrity recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), with many contributions to the literary career, including the poetry collection "Prison Diary" with more than 100 poems.

President Ho Chi Minh's poems were set to music by German musician Hans Werner Henze.

Also at the film screening, Greek friends expressed their love and respect for President Ho Chi Minh by volunteering to present the heroic history with the "resounding victory of the five continents, shaking the world" of the Vietnamese revolution under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh, as well as reading some of his poems expressing his revolutionary spirit but also full of humanity and his artistic soul such as "The body in prison", "Learning to play chess", "Pac Bo scene..."

The film screening left a deep impression on Greek audiences and international friends about President Ho Chi Minh, a genius leader, national hero, and world cultural celebrity./.
