Coming out of the Hanoi Singing Contest 2024 with the Special Prize, Nguyen Moc An quickly became a name that attracted attention in the music industry. Instead of rushing to take advantage of the heat after the award to launch a product, she chose a slow, "hidden" path, prioritizing meticulousness and lasting emotions.

Looking back on 1 year after being crowned, Moc An shared with VietNamNet reporter that it was a period full of memories and experiences. The moment of stepping onto the stage to receive the award is still intact in her memory, filled with emotions and gratitude.
"That title is not only a personal joy but also a motivation for me to continue pursuing the chamber folk music genre that I have chosen," the female singer confided.
The award has brought Moc An many new opportunities: to be known by more audiences, to appear on big stages and to participate in meaningful art programs. But most importantly, she is clearly aware of her responsibility to the public - to be serious and meticulous in each musical product.

Of course, the highest title also puts a lot of pressure on her shoulders. However, instead of considering it a burden, Moc An turns the pressure into motivation to be more selective in her music. She affirms that she will not follow the crowd but will stick to folk materials and academics, the path she loves and is attached to. After months of diligent practice and performance, Moc An rewards herself with trips to find inspiration again.
"As a singer, I always need new sources of energy. Each trip helps me explore and feel the melodies of lands and people, then put them into my music," she said.
One of the upcoming projects that Moc An cherishes the most is the MV Return to the River of Childhood . With the song associated with childhood memories by the river of Ha Tinh, Moc An considers this a tribute to her homeland and also a memorable milestone in her artistic journey. The song will be recorded right at the studio of Hanoi Radio, which she always considers a special mark in her career. In addition, the album Ha Tinh Trong Em is also released by Hanoi Radio on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes.

Off stage, Nguyen Moc An's life has become busier after 1 year of being crowned, studying at the National Academy of Music and performing. Luckily, she always receives support from teachers, colleagues and family. "Every time I sing about my hometown, I feel like I'm given more strength," Moc An confided.
To balance between studying and performing, she often takes advantage of trips back to her hometown or tours in the province to explore, exchange, and find more inspiration for her compositions. It is these experiences that have helped Moc An have more material to put into her music and keep her emotions fresh.
Regarding the concept of young artists in the current Vietnamese music scene, Moc An said: "The important thing is to maintain one's own identity, know how to renew oneself but not chase after flashiness and forget core values. Honesty in art is always what I put first."
The female singer hopes that in the next 5-10 years she can release many well-crafted products related to the folk chamber music genre, and at the same time affirm her position with the audience.
