Receiving information, forest rangers and local authorities verified and investigated the incident.
According to initial records, the sea turtle washed up on Bai Truoc is suspected to be a green turtle - a rare species of sea turtle listed in the Red Book.
The turtle is about 1.12m long and 0.62m wide and is in a state of decomposition.
There is a big crack on the turtle shell.
Preliminary examination showed that the abdomen, fins, etc. of this individual had no injuries. However, the turtle's shell had a large crack right in the middle, along its length.
Authorities speculate that this individual may have collided with maritime vehicles, resulting in serious injuries and death, and then drifted ashore.
The authorities are making a record and proceeding to process and resolve the incident.
Adult sea turtles are quite large in size.
