At the same time, the Association organized the celebration of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025); 50 years of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the heroic tradition of Truong Son Troops.

Accordingly, on May 19, 1959, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense decided to organize a "Special Military Task Force" also known as Group 559. According to the Politburo's Directive, a special road must be opened on the Truong Son mountain range from the North to the South to transfer human resources and material resources to join the people of the South in the struggle to liberate the South...

During nearly two decades, many cadres, soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers crossed mountains, forests, and overcame the hardships and harshness of the Truong Son mountain range and the fierceness of the battlefield to contribute to the glorious victory of spring 1975, liberating the South and reunifying the country.

The great contributions and sacrifices of the Truong Son troops brilliantly demonstrated revolutionary heroism. The Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail troops were honored to receive many noble titles from the Party and State, and the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail route was recognized by the Party and State as a special national monument.

At the meeting, some historical witnesses of the Ho Chi Minh Trail recalled profound memories during the heroic fighting years. The stories conveyed many meaningful messages, reminding us of the heroic history of the nation.

On this occasion, the Association of Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Soldiers in Hoai Duc district awarded 83 gifts to Truong Son members, exemplary senior members and members who overcame difficulties in life... and awarded Commemorative Medals, honored many individuals, and expressed gratitude to organizations and individuals who have accompanied the Association over the past time.

During its 3 terms of operation (from 2012 to present), the Association of Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Soldiers in Hoai Duc district has mobilized nearly 4 billion VND to carry out charitable activities, such as: Helping comrades build 9 new charitable houses; repairing 1 house; giving away over 1,000 gifts; giving away 14 wheelchairs...

In addition, the Association also mobilizes its members to respond to fundraising campaigns at facilities launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
