Military units hold oath-taking ceremonies for new soldiers in 2023

* On the morning of June 1, in Nam Khe ward (Uong Bi city), Regiment 244 (Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command) held the oath-taking ceremony for new soldiers in 2023. Attending and directing were Major General Nguyen Nam Tien, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Military Region 3; Comrade Bui Van Khang, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee. In 2023, Regiment 244 received 310 new soldiers from localities in Quang Ninh province; Tien Hai, Thai Thuy, Vu Thu districts (Thai Binh); Y Yen district (Nam Dinh); Thanh Ha district (Hai Duong); Tan Lac, Lang Son, Kim Boi districts (Hoa Binh); workers of the Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Group.

After 3 months of training, new soldiers are equipped with basic knowledge of military, politics, logistics, and technology, and are capable of receiving and completing tasks well when assigned to agencies and units. During the training period at the unit, 100% of officers and soldiers have matured, are steady in all aspects, have a firm grasp of military techniques and tactics, and are strong in psychology, have trained their physical strength and endurance, and at the same time, the unit has increased swimming training during extracurricular hours to ensure that 100% of CSMs know how to swim. Notably, during the 3 months of training, the Regiment participated in the 2023 CSM Training Sports Festival organized by Military Region 3, winning third prize out of 10 new soldier training units in the entire Military Region. The results of the political and military tests were all good and excellent; the AK shooting test met the requirements, grenade throwing and explosives were excellent, ensuring absolute safety for people and weapons and equipment.

Immediately after the oath-taking ceremony ended, the soldiers were transferred to units under the Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command; Logistics Department (Military Region 3); National Defense Economic Group 327; Battalion 31, Battalion 38, Engineering Warehouse Battalion (General Staff of Military Region 3) to carry out their missions.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Cuong, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Military Region attended and directed; also attending were the heads of 4 agencies of the Military Region, commanders of functional agencies of the Military Region and representatives of localities.

In 2023, the 43rd Regiment was assigned by the Division to train 889 new soldiers from 5 provinces and cities: Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Hoa Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh. To ensure the quality of training, the Regiment directed agencies and units to do a good job of preparation, from selecting and establishing a CSM training staff framework to training and fostering cadres at all levels; doing a good job of preparing teaching aids, textbooks, training grounds; actively implementing research activities, innovating teaching aid models...

The regiment organized training according to the approved plan, ensuring sufficient content, time and high number of participants. Effectively applied viewpoints, principles, and combinations, basic training from easy to difficult, from simple to complex. Strictly maintained the inspection and sports regime, through lesson plans, cadre training, promptly learned from shortcomings and limitations in training. After 3 months of training, the unit completed 100% of the program and conducted the CSM training completion inspection.

During the training process, the officers and soldiers of the Regiment were always united, determined to overcome all difficulties, and strived to successfully complete the CSM training mission in 2023. The new soldiers had a firm grasp of: Features, structure, and effects of guns and ammunition and were proficient in their use; well implemented military regulations, etiquette, and manners; techniques and tactics, and knew how to flexibly apply them to perform assigned duties and tasks; were in good health and strictly followed discipline. After the oath-taking ceremony, 100% of the new soldiers were excited to receive their new tasks.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Cuong, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Military Region acknowledged and commended the results and achievements of Regiment 43 in training new soldiers in 2022. He requested that in the coming time, the Party Committee and unit commanders need to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement resolutions, directives and orders from above on training work; regularly educate and raise awareness, mettle, and political and ideological stance for officers and soldiers; effectively organize the implementation of key political tasks of the unit, train soldiers, improve qualifications, movement techniques, specialized contents of each major, improve health, endurance and flexibility to meet the requirements of assigned tasks... Organize for new soldiers to move to units to ensure safety in all aspects.

Immediately after the oath-taking ceremony for new soldiers, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Cuong, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Military Region chaired a democratic dialogue with officers, soldiers and professional soldiers of Regiment 43. The dialogue took place democratically and frankly, with many opinions participating. Through the dialogue, it helped soldiers in the Regiment to resolve difficulties and problems, 100% feel secure, ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks well.
