According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the day and night of August 7, the Northwest and Viet Bac regions of the North will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall from 10-40mm, locally over 80mm; rain will be concentrated in the late afternoon and at night.
On the afternoon and evening of August 7, the Central Highlands and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain in some places with rainfall from 15-30mm, locally over 70mm; in thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
