Mr. Ngo Chi Dung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tam Anh General Hospital system, VNVC vaccine welcomed General Secretary To Lam to visit the unit's exhibition booth.
The exhibition, themed "Achievements in caring for and protecting people's health", welcomes important Resolutions of the Politburo , especially Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW on a number of breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health.
At the introduction, witnessed by General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan and senior leaders of the Party and State, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hien, Director of the Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology, Tam Anh General Hospital, Hanoi, introduced many of the world's leading modern medical technologies available at the Tam Anh General Hospital System nationwide, many robots that are still rare in the world.
Invest heavily in advanced medical technology in the world
Meritorious physician, Associate Professor, Doctor Trieu Trieu Duong, Director of Foreign Affairs, Tam Anh General Hospital Hanoi said, with the goal of making a breakthrough in medical examination and treatment technology, improving quality and safety for patients, Tam Anh Hospital system has invested heavily in the world's leading advanced medical technologies.
General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense visited the AI Robot system of Tam Anh General Hospital.
Notable are specialized surgical robots in areas that were not previously Vietnam's strengths such as neurology - cranial nerves, cardiovascular, kidney and urinary tract, bones and joints, spine, etc., along with AI-based imaging diagnostic technologies, bringing outstanding efficiency in diagnosis and treatment.
Meritorious physician, Associate Professor, Doctor Vu Le Chuyen, Director of the Center for Urology - Nephrology - Andrology, Tam Anh General Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, also shared that the Da Vinci Xi surgical robot present at Tam Anh Hospital is currently the latest generation of robots in Southeast Asia, supporting surgery for more than 120 different diseases such as urology, gynecology, digestion, cardiovascular, ear, nose and throat diseases...
This Robot technology has 4 flexible arms, accurately locating lesions, doctors can "sit and operate remotely", with superior precision, minimal invasion, shortening hospital stay, and patients recovering quickly.
At the exhibition, there is the AI Modus V Synaptive robot specializing in neurosurgery - cranial - spinal, the only one in Vietnam and only available in 14 countries. This robot has successfully performed hundreds of surgeries for cerebral hemorrhage, brain tumors, spinal cord tumors, vascular malformations, disc herniation, spinal fractures, etc., with a 1-2 cm incision, reducing blood loss by 79%, reducing hospital stay by 40%, costs 30-40 times lower than in the US and covered by health insurance.
Another AI robot introduced by Tam Anh General Hospital is the giant Artis Pheno Robot, weighing more than 1,000 kg, 2.6 meters high, applying sophisticated artificial intelligence that allows surgeons to simulate and calculate the most optimal options for efficiency and safety. Therefore, this robot is especially useful in difficult surgeries such as heart surgery, cardiovascular bypass, stent placement, joint replacement, and vascular intervention with high precision.
Meritorious Doctor Vu Le Chuyen, Director of the Center for Urology - Nephrology - Andrology, Tam Anh General Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, introduces the features of the Da Vinci Surgical Robot.
In the field of diagnosis, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hien introduced the "super CT scanner" Somatom Force VB30, which surpasses all limits on the number of slices compared to conventional devices. The machine can produce imaging results with more than 100,000 slices, with an ultra-thin slice thickness of only 0.4 millimeters, scanning the whole body in just 1-2 seconds, applying AI to automatically identify lesions, helping to suggest, diagnose, and detect microscopic abnormalities in the body such as tumors, atherosclerotic plaques, blood clots, vascular stenosis, heart muscle disease, coronary artery disease, vascular malformations, stones, etc.
Medicine requires precision and good doctors who master technology.
Visiting the exhibition booth of Tam Anh General Hospital System, Party and State leaders were interested in applying these modern technologies in medical examination and treatment, bringing practical benefits to patients in the country. General Secretary To Lam emphasized that modern machines with pre-installed programs are very good in supporting medicine and the human factor is very important. Medicine needs precision and requires good doctors who master technology.
Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo with the goals of developing Vietnam's healthcare system by 2030, with a vision to 2045, is like a breath of fresh air for the healthcare sector in general and private healthcare in particular, contributing to building a solid foundation for the country's sustainable development.
Meritorious Doctor Chu Tan Si, Head of the Department of Neurosurgery - Spine, Center for Neuroscience, Tam Anh General Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, shares the advantages of the AI Robot Modus V Synaptive in neurosurgery, cranial nerves, and spine.
Mr. Ngo Chi Dung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tam Anh General Hospital System, said that the breakthrough orientations, especially in removing difficulties for private healthcare in Resolution 72-NQ/TW, have aroused the spirit, motivation, and determination of private healthcare in long-term investment, dedication, and contribution to the cause of caring for, protecting, and improving people's health. According to some international studies, in developed countries such as the US, Germany, and Japan, the rate of private investment accounts for 50-60% of total healthcare costs.
Also at the Exhibition, the Medical Ecosystem including Tam Anh General Hospital - Tam Anh Research Institute (TAMRI) - VNVC Vaccination Center - ECO Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company introduced its achievements to senior leaders.
TAMRI aims for a pioneering scientific environment, collaborating with Stanford and Oxford, focusing on research, international publications, training, and clinical trials; notably the VISTA-1 project in cooperation with the US to test the drug RBS2418 to treat late-stage colorectal cancer, marking many "firsts" for Vietnam in global cancer research.
VNVC, with nearly 240 modern and safe centers across the country, has brought dozens of new and new-generation vaccines to Vietnam and is building a 2,000 billion VND vaccine and biological product factory with a capacity of 100 million doses/year, meeting WHO, EU, and FDA standards, aiming for national vaccine autonomy.
