Facebook story comments are a new feature that Facebook has updated. Previously, users could only leave reaction icons on stories. Now, friends and anyone who sees your story can comment and interact. You might receive compliments, but you could also receive rude comments that make you feel uncomfortable. Below is how to turn off Facebook story comments to help you manage your posts.
How to turn off comments on Facebook Stories
Currently, enabling or disabling comments on Facebook stories can only be done on the mobile app. This feature is not available on the desktop version of Facebook. To enable or disable comments on Facebook stories, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the Facebook app and tap the plus icon in the story creation bar. Then select the gear-shaped settings icon.
Spend 5 minutes learning how to turn off comments on Facebook stories to avoid being bothered.
Step 2: In the Comments section, slide the circular button on the horizontal bar to the left if you want to turn off comments on your Facebook story.
Additionally, you can decide who can view and comment on your stories. Simply select one of the three available options: Public, Friends, or Custom.
Step 3: After you have finished customizing, press Save to complete the changes.
Things to note when disabling comments on Facebook stories.
Once turned off, comments will be disabled for all your posts. Currently, Facebook only allows disabling comments for all posts, not for individual posts.
The above trick only disables the commenting feature; the emojis will still be displayed.
