The Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong City said that, apart from the candidates who skipped the first exam, no candidates violated the exam regulations in the 10th grade public high school exam for the 2023-2024 school year.
Hai Phong City has a total of 45 general examination councils with 1,034 examination rooms; for specialized examination councils, there are 3 English examination councils and 1 examination council for specialized subjects at Tran Phu High School for the Gifted; nearly 2,200 teachers and staff participate in invigilation and grading.

At the examination sites, facilities and equipment are guaranteed to be the best, and there are also backup plans for situations that may arise during the exam.
In particular, in the exam storage room and exam papers at the exam sites, there are security cameras monitoring and recording 24/7, meeting the regulations in the exam regulations issued by the Ministry of Education and Training.
There were 3 candidates with broken arms, so the examination board arranged for invigilators to assist the candidates in taking the exam under the close supervision of the authorities on duty.

Also according to the Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong City, the examination council of Thai Phien High School leads the city with 1,014 candidates taking the exam, while the examination council of Ly Thanh Tong Secondary and High School has the fewest, only 108 candidates taking the exam.
The entrance exam for grade 10 public high schools for the 2023-2024 school year will take place over two days, from June 2 to 3, with three exams: literature, math, and foreign language. Candidates taking specialized subjects will take the exam on June 5 and 6.

For the foreign language test, candidates choose one of the following languages: English, French, German, Japanese, Korean.
The math and literature exams for the 10th grade are in essay format, with a duration of 120 minutes per exam. The foreign language exam is in multiple-choice format, with a duration of 60 minutes.
