The main sensor of this drone is a huge Hasselblad 20MP Four Thirds 24mm camera with a variable aperture range of f/2.8-11, it is capable of shooting ProRes 5.1k video (5120×2700px) at up to 50fps, as well as DCI 4K (4096x2160px) and regular 4K (3840x2160px) at up to 120fps in 10-bit D-Log.
The main camera delivers 12.8 stops of dynamic range and benefits from Hasselblad's Natural Color Solution (HNCS) algorithms, delivering accurate color right out of the box for easier post-production.
In addition, the Mavic 3 Pro also has a 1/2-inch CMOS telephoto camera with 12MP resolution, 15° field of view (FoV), 7x optical zoom, 166mm focal length. This camera comes with f/3.4.
The third camera is a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor also with f/2.8 aperture, 4K@60fps recording, D-Log M/HLG support and 3x optical zoom.
The triple camera system is mounted on a 3-axis mechanical gimbal. The Mavic 3 Pro comes with omnidirectional sensors to avoid obstacles from all angles.
It supports DJI's latest O3+ transmission, which allows for live 1080/60p video streaming at distances of up to 15km (although the pilot must always keep the drone in sight). It will stay in the air for up to 43 minutes - the same as the Mavic 3.
The device carries all of DJl's smart features such as Waypoint Flight (pre-set flight paths), Cruise Control (drone flies in any direction without joystick control), Advanced Return to home (automatically returns if obstacle avoidance is enabled), FocusTrack (main and mid-range telephoto cameras can track selected subjects to focus in the frame), QuickShots (Dronie, Rocket, Circle, Helix), as well as MasterShots (drone will automatically record and edit videos).
The Mavic 3 Pro measures (L x W x H) (231.1 × 98 × 95.4)mm when folded and (347.5 × 290.8 × 107.7)mm when unfolded, both excluding the propellers. The device weighs about 958g.
The DJI Mavic 3 Pro starts at $2,199 with the DJI RC controller. The Fly More Combo with the RC controller is $2,999, and the Fly More Combo with the RD Pro controller is $3,899.
