Ha Viet Hieu knocked out a British boxer.
Ha Viet Hieu faced Joseph Hanlon in the men's 77kg match at the Lion Championship event on the afternoon of July 8. The match ended quickly after only 18 seconds when the Vietnamese boxer knocked out his opponent right in the second attack.
In a poor defense, Joseph Hanlon took a full punch at high speed from Ha Viet Hieu. The British boxer fell to the floor and was momentarily unconscious. The referee immediately stopped the match and announced the victory by knockout for Ha Viet Hieu.
Ha Viet Hieu knocked out his opponent at the 18th second.
Hanlon had no defensive reflexes in this situation and was knocked down by one blow.

Previously, another match between a Vietnamese boxer and a foreign opponent also ended in a knockout. Felipe Negochadle (Brazil) won quickly against Nguyen Phuong Nam (Vietnam).
After some heavy hand and foot exchanges from both sides, Negochadle gained control of Mount, followed by ground and pound, forcing the referee to stop the match at 1 minute 32 seconds of round 1.
In the women's 60kg match, Nguyen Thi Huong defeated Tran Thanh Phuong Ngan by points. The match revolved around cage-based situations when Phuong Ngan was the one who took the initiative to approach with the intention of bringing the match to a ground battle. In the first and second rounds, Phuong Ngan controlled her opponent twice in the mount position, however, she could not do much as Nguyen Huong defended very stubbornly.
