The Yak-130 military aircraft crashed in the middle of Yok Don forest, Dak Lak province, far from residential areas so there were no casualties.

On the afternoon of November 8, authorities found a Yak-130 military aircraft that had an accident and crashed in sub-area 428 of Yok Don National Park, Krong Na commune, Buon Don district, Dak Lak province.

Previously, Mr. Dao Cong Nguyen (residing in Drang Pok hamlet, Krong Na commune) was in his field when he heard a loud explosion on the other side of the Serepok river, in Yok Don National Park.

Later, Mr. Nguyen heard that the authorities were searching for the crashed plane. Suspecting that the explosion might have been caused by the plane crash, he went to report it.

On the afternoon of November 8, authorities used a flycam to find the location of the crashed plane.

Authorities blocked off the scene to conduct professional and technical investigations.

"The plane crashed in sub-area 428 of Yok Don National Park. This is a primeval forest area, about 8 km from Drang Pok village" - the source said.
