TPO - In early December 2024, Aeon Mall Vietnam will start construction of a shopping mall project on a 91,000m2 land area with a total investment of VND 5,200 billion in Bai Chay, Ha Long City (Quang Ninh).

Aeon Mall shopping center is located on Cai Lan street, Bai Chay ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province.

Aeon Mall Vietnam Co., Ltd. will start the project on December 2. The shopping mall is expected to be completed on April 30, 2025 with 5 floors, 1 attic and 1 basement, with a total floor area of about 200,000 m2.

Currently, the auction of land use rights and selection of investors have been completed in accordance with legal regulations, preparing conditions for project implementation.

The Ha Long Trade Center project is jointly invested by Viet Phat Group Joint Stock Company and Aeon Mall Vietnam Co., Ltd., a member of Aeon Mall Japan Group.

This will be the 7th Aeon shopping mall in Vietnam.

Aeon Mall Ha Long will have amenities including: Food and beverage services, children's play area and fully invested sales space.

It is expected that after completion and operation, the project will create regular jobs for about 2,500 workers.

The provincial People's Committee leader said that in recent years, Quang Ninh has focused resources on investing in the socio -economic infrastructure system. In addition to transport infrastructure, the locality has also attracted a series of non-budget investment projects in the service and tourism sectors.

According to the Provincial Planning orientation for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 and the General Planning of Ha Long City to 2040; Quang Ninh determines to continue attracting non-budget investment projects in the service - tourism sector.

In which, Ha Long City Trade Center is one of the key projects, contributing to promoting the retail industry and general economic growth.

Currently, the infrastructure is ready for Aeon Mall to start construction on schedule.

The landscape area surrounding the project will be renovated to harmonize economic development and green space.
