The subjects use scratch-off lottery tickets (usually foreign) and stage live streams of consecutive big prizes, create fake winning comments of players, and exploit viewers' greed to attract them to participate. After creating trust, the scammers will publicly disclose their bank accounts and e-wallets and invite viewers to transfer money to buy tickets and scratch directly on the air.

However, after receiving the money, they will “scratch” the unsuccessful tickets and continue to entice the victims to transfer more money to buy more scratch tickets. In addition, the subjects also ask the victims to provide their ID numbers, phone numbers, home addresses, OTP codes, etc. to collect information for other fraudulent purposes.
