Dong Thap: Landslide on Ra Bai riverbank cuts off rural traffic

On October 5, the People's Committee of Hiep Duc commune, Dong Thap province, said that a landslide had just occurred on district road 54B (along Ba Rai river), in Hiep Duc commune, cutting off rural traffic in the area.

Earlier, at 5:15 a.m. the same day, a landslide occurred on District Road 54B, many sections of which fell into the Ba Rai River. According to authorities, the landslides had a total length of about 30 meters, and the landslide completely cut off traffic through this area.

The local authorities have come to survey, put up warning signs and erected barriers, asking people to use other routes to ensure safety. At the same time, they have reported to the People's Committee of Dong Thap province for solutions.

According to the People's Committee of Hiep Duc Commune, during the flood season, landslides often occur in this area. Currently, cracks have also appeared on some other roads along the Ba Rai River, with a high risk of landslides.
