Accordingly, a number of new scams have appeared on cyberspace, targeting parents whose children are preparing for the 2025 high school graduation exam.
By obtaining basic information of candidates who have registered for the high school graduation exam such as full name, school, class and phone number of candidates and parents, cybercriminals call and ask parents to add the missing information to a link they send via phone. When parents are not vigilant and complete all the steps according to the instructions from the strange caller, the parents' bank account is immediately deducted.
According to the recommendation of the Departmentof Education and Training, candidates and parents should not listen to and follow strange calls instructing them to change their high school graduation exam registration information, because when necessary, the school will disseminate and discuss directly with candidates. Parents should not provide account numbers, passwords, bank OPT codes, or transfer any fees to change exam registration information from strange calls.
Candidates should note that they must keep their account information and password to log into the High School Graduation Exam Management System of the Ministry of Education and Training provided by the school confidential. Absolutely do not use your account and password to log into strange websites.
In addition, in the coming time, the high school graduation exam and university admission process still has many steps, cybercriminals can continue to launch many new scams. Therefore, candidates and parents need to be more vigilant, only follow the instructions of the school, to avoid the risk of being scammed.
