NBC News released a national poll of 1,000 registered voters on November 3, showing that former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris received 49% support. When looking at the details, Ms. Harris has the advantage on the issue of abortion and concern for the middle class. Meanwhile, a positive signal for Mr. Trump is that two-thirds of voters surveyed believe the country is going in the wrong direction, in addition to his higher support on the issue of the economy , housing costs and border security.

The poll, conducted from October 30 to November 2, showed that Ms. Harris had a big advantage over her Republican opponent among black voters (87% - 9%), voters under 30 (57% - 41%) and white voters with college degrees (55% - 43%). In contrast, the former US president was more popular among rural voters (75% - 23%), white voters (56% - 42%) and white voters without a college degree (64% - 34%).
Gender differences were also evident in the survey, with 58% of male voters backing Mr Trump compared to 40% for Ms Harris, while the incumbent vice president was chosen by 57% of women, compared to 41% for Mr Trump.
Harris has a big advantage over Trump on abortion (53% to 33%), and a slight edge on caring for the middle class (51% to 42%). An NBC News poll shows that former President Trump is far ahead of his Democratic opponent on immigration control (supported by 55% to 30%), and has an advantage when it comes to running the US economy (51% to 41%).

Another poll by The Hill /Decision Desk HQ on November 4, which compiled more than 330 national polls, showed that Mr. Trump and Ms. Harris both received 48.3% support, compared to October 31, when Ms. Harris led by 0.6%. The agency also predicted that Mr. Trump has a 54% chance of winning this year's presidential election.
On November 3, Vice President Harris campaigned in Michigan, focusing on calling on young people to vote, while Mr. Trump pledged to tighten immigration policies when giving a speech in North Carolina, before campaigning in Georgia.
