'Western Romantic' reveals assets after 30 years of singing and his secretive wife

Lam Hung was lucky to have Meritorious Artist Vu Linh - his "benefactor" brother - protect and support him when he first started his career.

The peak period of Lam Hung's career was from 2004 to 2006. During this time, his albums achieved many successes, and his shows were spread across the North and South.

However, the thing that the singer born in 1977 regrets the most is that when his life was full, his mother passed away from liver cancer. Because of this incident, the male singer interrupted his artistic activities.

For 6 years, he just stayed at home, occasionally singing at venues in the West.

“In 2014, I decided to return to Ho Chi Minh City with nothing. I connected with others and worked 10 times harder than others to make up for the gap in my career. Luckily, my efforts were recognized and helped me maintain the current stability,” he told VietNamNet .

Lam Hung recently collaborated with female artists Lam Vy Da and Quynh Trang in a number of projects.

What do you think about the title "King of Western Music" that people give you? Lam Hung said he feels very shy every time it is mentioned.

According to Lam Hung, that name makes him lose interest and feel down. He just wants to be called "the romantic guy from the West", which sounds more pleasant and sympathetic.

Not a "rich man", grateful for his discreet wife

For many years, Lam Hung has been working tirelessly on shows. On weekends, he is always present at the stage, spending very little time with his wife and children. When the singer comes home from work, the children are already asleep, and when he wakes up, the children are at school.

Lam Hung feels that he has not fulfilled his responsibilities as a husband and father in the family.

Because of the isolation, Lam Hung and his wife discussed sending their children back to their mother's hometown in Da Lat for care. For nearly a year, he and his family have had few opportunities to meet or reunite.

Every day, Lam Hung spends time texting, making video calls to visit and chat with his children. The singer feels comforted because all 3 children are obedient, independent and emotional.

He hopes that when the children grow up, they will understand his work and feelings.

“I believe that this singing career is only temporary. While I am still strong enough to work, I will try to earn money and save so that my wife and children can live comfortably in the future. Sometimes I have to make trade-offs and lose many things, but there is no other way,” he said sadly.

The singer is grateful to his wife - Ms. Khanh Ngoc for sticking with him, supporting him and taking care of his 3 children. The two have been married since 2009 and have been together for 16 years.

During that time, their marriage also went through many ups and downs, but both of them knew how to share, change for each other, and try to keep the fire burning in their home.

Lam Hung revealed that his wife is a gentle person, good at housework, and never jealous. Since getting married, the male singer's personality has gradually changed and become more mature and thoughtful.

His wife helped Lam Hung quit smoking and drinking, and live scientifically to maintain his health and singing voice.

The singer admits that he is not gallant, and does not know how to flatter his wife with flowery words. All his feelings and love are expressed through practical actions.

At this time, the male singer wants to give his wife some private time to make up for the fatigue and hardship she has gone through over the years.
