Huu Cuong shared that in 2021, the COVID-19 pandemic greatly affected his work. Realizing that he was still very young, he decided to apply for military service.

His experience in the military helped him realize that this was a disciplined, orderly environment, suitable for self-cultivation and training. After learning that the military recruited professional medical soldiers, with the right major and having graduated from medical college, Cuong decided to stay in this environment for a long time.

The Challenge of a Young Soldier

Participating in the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of September 2 this year, Huu Cuong was part of the Honorary Group of the 3 Military Services. On the A80 journey, the young man remembered the days of training under the sun, everyone's skin was dark, and his brothers often joked that they were " Quang Ninh coal blocks".

But above all is the spirit of encouraging each other that skin can be white again, and this honorable mission only happens once in a lifetime.

Behind the heroic footsteps on the historic Ba Dinh Square is the arduous training journey of the soldiers carrying out their duty to the Fatherland. The biggest difficulty for Huu Cuong is the coordination in each row and each block.

His block was at the forefront, also the largest block with 16 people in a row, 12 rows, representing three military branches: Army, Navy and Air Defense - Air Force.

“Despite the difficulties, everyone always encourages each other and is determined to complete the noble task entrusted to them by the Party, State, Army and People,” Cuong shared.

As the parade passed through Ba Dinh Square and the streets were filled with flags and flowers during the training sessions, the cheers of the people resounded endlessly. Amidst that stream of emotions, Huu Cuong clearly saw what it meant to “walk among the people”, a simple but sacred happiness, and then became even more proud of the soldier’s uniform that he was wearing.

“In modern life with so much pressure, sometimes just a few seconds of thinking about positive things is enough to bring joy and motivate each person to do things better,” Cuong said.

Images and videos from the military environment are limited, so sometimes people cannot fully imagine the life of soldiers. Huu Cuong brings those authentic, simple moments through clips of everyday life, from smiles, small stories or moments of confiding with comrades in the first days of enlistment.

“It is the sympathy of everyone that motivates me. Some uncles and aunts sent their thanks because it helped their children feel more secure when working. Some old soldiers said that these films reminded them of their youth.

Or young people confided that seeing the joy in the army made them want to sign up for military service.

Those words of encouragement are the reason for me to continue spreading the positive energy of soldiers even more," Cuong confided.
