Chau Thanh handed over 33 solidarity houses

Chau Thanh District Party Secretary Lam Minh Cong presented the decision to hand over solidarity houses under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses to poor and near-poor households in Giuc Tuong commune.

Each house has a total area of ^38m2 ; construction costs range from 60-95 million VND/house, of which the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Kien Giang Province supports 60 million VND/house, the rest is mobilized by the commune and contributed by the family; officers and soldiers of the armed forces support labor days.

On this occasion, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Chau Thanh District mobilized philanthropists to donate supplies and necessities to 33 households.

Chau Thanh District Party Secretary Lam Minh Cong said that by March 31, the district had completed phase 1 of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households in the district with 79 houses. In phase 2, the district will continue to build 146 houses for households, striving to complete construction before April 20, 2025.
