(BLC) - On the afternoon of June 26, Lai Chau Newspaper Party Cell held a mid-term review conference to implement the Resolution of the 4th Party Cell Congress, term 2020 - 2025 and review the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of the year, deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of 2023. Comrade Nguyen Viet Manh - Party Cell Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Lai Chau Newspaper chaired the conference.

During the past half-term, the Party Committee of Lai Chau Newspaper has closely followed the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, the political tasks of the province and agencies, and concretized them into programs and plans for implementation. Focusing on innovating the leadership methods and working style of the Party Committee; doing well the work of political and ideological education; thoroughly grasping and promptly studying the Party's directives and resolutions, and the State's policies and laws to cadres and Party members.
Pay attention to the work of party building, developing new party members, planning and training, and fostering the staff. Constantly innovate and improve the quality of the newspaper in both content and form; launch and spread emulation movements. Building a united and unified collective of Party committees, Party cells, and agencies has contributed to achieving 5/8 targets of the Resolution of the 4th Party Congress, the remaining 3 targets basically achieved 80% or more.
In particular, in the first 6 months of 2023, Lai Chau Newspaper Party Cell led and directed agencies and mass organizations to successfully complete assigned political tasks. Specifically, publishing and distributing 130 regular issues, newspapers for ethnic minorities in the highlands, and weekend newspapers. Printing and distributing over 300,000 newspapers; publishing 12 special issues serving events and political tasks of the country, province, locality, and unit. Posting over 10,000 news, photos, reports, videos, and documents on the Electronic Newspaper.

From June 1, 2023, Lai Chau Newspaper increased its publication frequency from 3 issues/week to 4 issues/week and expanded its distribution target. It successfully organized many practical activities to celebrate the 98th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21). Since the beginning of the year, the Party cell has admitted 2 new Party members; sent 2 Party members to attend new Party member classes; and issued Party cards to 2 Party members.
With the achieved results and the determination to successfully implement the goals and tasks of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies and Enterprises, and the Party Cell Resolution for the 2020-2025 term, in the coming time, the Lai Chau Newspaper Party Cell will continue to organize the study and dissemination of the Party's directives and resolutions, and the State's legal policies to cadres, party members, and civil servants.
Promote the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in conjunction with the implementation of Resolution 4 of the 12th Central Committee on strengthening Party building and rectification, preventing and repelling the degradation of political ideology, morality, lifestyle, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party (referred to as Resolution 4 of the 12th Central Committee). Speaking at the conference, representatives of party cells and organizations exchanged and shared experiences and solutions to improve the quality of press works; link professional tasks with the implementation of Resolution 4 of the 12th Central Committee; innovate the content of newspaper publishing and distribution; improve the quality of newspaper printing and create jobs, stabilize the lives of civil servants and workers; and develop party members among union members and youth.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Viet Manh - Party Cell Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Lai Chau Newspaper affirmed: At the conference, delegates discussed many important opinions, deeply assessed and clarified the results achieved, the causes of shortcomings and limitations in the first half of the term of implementing the Resolution of the Congress. Proposed additional solutions to successfully implement the goals and tasks set out in the resolution.
