Nearly 23 billion VND to repair 7.4km of National Highway 14C through Lam Dong

There are 9 sections of National Highway 14C, more than 7.4km long, through Lam Dong, that will have their foundation, road surface, drainage system and traffic safety repaired.

Traffic is difficult on some damaged and degraded sections of Highway 14C through Lam Dong.

On August 4, the leader of Lam Dong Department of Construction said that the unit has just approved the results of selecting a contractor for the construction package of National Highway 14C. This package repairs the roadbed, road surface, drainage system and ensures traffic safety for 9 sections of National Highway 14C with a length of 7.44km.

The winning bidder is Hoang Vu - Dai Luc Joint Venture (including Hoang Vu Construction Company Limited and Dai Luc Company Limited). The total value of the bid package is nearly 22.9 billion VND. The bid package implementation period is within 180 days.

Most of the sections of National Highway 14C that will be repaired this year pass through the two border communes of Thuan An and Dak Wil. These are degraded sections of road, affecting people’s travel, movement between border posts and forest management and protection.

According to Lam Dong Department of Construction, National Highway 14C runs through the province for about 162.5km. This is the road running along the border area and is one of the province's main national highways.

Of which, the National Highway 14C section passing through the border communes of Thuan An and Dak Wil is nearly 50km long. This road section was invested and built about 15 years ago, so it has degraded and needs to be repaired and renovated.

Every year, the Central Government allocates funds to renovate and upgrade National Highway 14C. With limited funds, the locality has proactively reviewed and gradually repaired severely damaged sections, contributing to improving travel conditions for the people.
