Detailed schedule of welcoming Buddha's relics at Ba Den Mountain

Sun World Ba Den Mountain announces a change in the time for worshiping Buddha's relics on the first floor of the Buddhist Exhibition Center on top of Ba Den Mountain.

The relics of Buddha Shakyamuni were brought from India to Vietnam.

Accordingly, at 10:00 a.m. on May 8, Buddha's relics were brought from Thanh Tam Pagoda (Lonely Buddha Pagoda, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) to Tay Ninh.

At 12:30 p.m., the procession and enshrinement of Buddha's relics will take place at Ba Den Mountain. The worship time will be from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., from May 9 to 12.

According to the program, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on May 8, the Bodhi tree planting ceremony will take place at Bodhi Garden World ; at 6:00 p.m., the candle lighting/lamp offering ceremony will take place at Tay Bo Da Son square.

Previously, according to the old schedule, from May 8-13, Buddhists, people and tourists worshiped Buddha's relics from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the first floor of the Buddhist Exhibition Center (top of Ba Den mountain).

On May 13, a ceremony was held to send off the Buddha's relics to Hanoi ; the relics were enshrined at Quan Su Pagoda from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., from May 14-16.

On May 17, the Organizing Committee will hold a ceremony to send the Buddha's relics to Tam Chuc Pagoda and they will be enshrined there from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. from May 17-21.

On May 21, a ceremony was held to send the Buddha's relics to Noi Bai International Airport to return to India.

On the afternoon of May 8, the Bodhi tree planting ceremony took place at Bodhi Garden World.

According to the Organizing Committee, to maintain the purity and solemnity of the place of worship, Buddhists and visitors are requested to comply with the regulations when worshiping the Buddha's relics - the most sacred treasure of world Buddhism.

The organizers note that people coming to worship must follow the instructions of the organizers, line up in order, move in rows; maintain order, and ensure solemnity when worshiping.

In addition, worshipers should not bring offerings or rituals to the place of worship; should not bring flammable or explosive objects; should not take photos or film without permission; and should limit bringing bags and belongings into the relics area.

Children under two years old and inappropriately dressed will not be admitted to the Buddha's relics shrine.

This is the first time that Buddha's relics from the National Museum of India are exhibited in Vietnam.

Within the framework of the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival - the largest Buddhist event on the planet, a part of the Buddha's relics and typical national treasures will be officially welcomed to Ba Den Mountain for Buddhists and tourists from all over to worship in the most solemn and sacred space in the South.

This is the first time that Buddha's relics from the National Museum of India are exhibited in Vietnam, on the occasion of the 2025 United Nations Day of Vesak held at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Ho Chi Minh City.
