Details of MG ZS 2025 "drinks gas" 5.1L/100km, coming to Vietnam soon

Attending the 2025 Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), MG brought the all-new ZS model with breakthrough design, upgraded technology and especially the hybrid version.

Attending the 2025 Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), MG brought the all-new ZS 2025 SUV model with breakthrough design, upgraded technology and especially the first hybrid version.

The new generation MG ZS HEV is completely redesigned according to the modern and emotional "Emotion Drive" design language. The front LED headlights are slimmer, sharper and seamlessly integrated with the large honeycomb grille, creating a much stronger and more individual appearance than the previous generation.

The front bumper is also expanded with many glossy black painted details, contributing to the sporty look of the car. On the side, the new MG ZS does not change too much in terms of overall shape, the car owns a set of 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels with a multi-spoke design. At the rear of the car, the LED taillights are neatly redesigned, combined with a large fake diffuser, giving a more solid and balanced feeling.

The cockpit of the MG ZS HEV 2025 has a modern minimalist style, inspired by MG models in the European market. The most prominent detail is the 12.3-inch floating touch screen, supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Behind the steering wheel is a 12.3-inch digital dashboard for clear visibility.

All seats are covered in synthetic leather. The driver's and passenger's seats are electrically adjustable, with a large center armrest. The rear seats have more space thanks to a reasonable redesign. Some notable amenities include: automatic air conditioning, heated steering wheel, electronic handbrake and automatic brake hold function.

The most notable feature of the new generation MG ZS is the appearance of the hybrid powertrain (HEV). The car uses a 1.5L gasoline engine combined with an electric motor for a total capacity of up to 197 horsepower and a maximum torque of 465 Nm. This powertrain is combined with an e-CVT automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

The ZS HEV's performance is rated as stable, suitable for both urban and highway driving, with a maximum speed of 168 km/h. The average fuel consumption is only about 5.1 liters/100 km - a remarkable figure in the B-size SUV segment.

MG ZS HEV is also equipped with the MG Pilot active safety package with many modern features such as: Lane departure warning, Lane keeping assist. Automatic emergency braking. Adaptive Cruise Control. These features help enhance the driving experience and ensure safety during operation.

With strong changes in design, addition of modern technology and especially the economical hybrid transmission system, the new generation MG ZS is targeting young customers who love dynamism, personality and value efficiency in urban areas.

The price of the new generation MG ZS HEV 2025 in the Indonesian market has not been announced. The appearance of the model at GIIAS 2025 shows that it is likely to be launched soon in Southeast Asian markets, including Vietnam.
