Details of Geely's premium SUV Galaxy M9 PHEV, from 710 million VND

With a starting price of only 710 million VND in China, the large SUV Geely Galaxy M9 possesses a series of modern technologies and a power of up to 870 horsepower.

Geely has officially opened pre-orders for the new 2025 Galaxy M9 large plug-in hybrid SUV (PHEV) in its home market of China, with starting prices for the 1-wheel drive version ranging from 193,800 - 236,800 yuan (about 710-869 million VND). The 2-wheel drive version will cost 258,800 yuan (equivalent to 870 million VND).

Galaxy M9 is a 6-seat family SUV that the company positions in the high-end segment, with a maximum capacity of 870 horsepower, a pure electric range of up to 210 km, and a series of outstanding convenience technologies.

The Galaxy M9 is the production version of the Galaxy Starship concept car that debuted at Beijing 2024. The car has a modern style with a “Brilliant Galaxy” LED strip connecting the two front headlights, slim taillights and a LiDAR sensor on the roof.

Overall dimensions Length x Width x Height are 5,205 x 1,999 x 1,800 (mm), wheelbase 3,030 mm, almost equivalent to Mercedes-Benz GLS. Geely confidently asserts that M9 has the best cabin space utilization ratio in the segment (88.3%).

In particular, the dual-chamber air suspension system helps adjust the ground clearance to 95mm, combined with a continuous shock absorber control system, providing a smooth experience in all conditions.

The cabin is arranged with 3 rows of seats in a 2+2+2 format, all seats are electrically adjustable, heated, rows 1 and 2 have integrated ventilation and massage. The aisle between the 2 seats is 180mm wide, making it more convenient to get in/out of the third row.

Outstanding features include a 12.6-inch central screen combined with a HUD on the windshield, and a 30-inch super-wide screen shared by the driver and passengers.

In the rear seats, there is a 17.3-inch ceiling-mounted 3K screen and a 27-speaker Flyme Sound system, and a built-in 9L refrigerator. The luggage compartment capacity reaches 328L and can be expanded to 2,171L when the 2nd and 3rd row seats are folded.

Galaxy M9 uses Geely EM-P 2.0 hybrid system with 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine with 160hp capacity combined with 3 electric motors, for a total capacity of 870 horsepower and torque of 1,165 Nm.

The 4-wheel drive version accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, with a fuel consumption of only 4.8L/100 km after the battery is depleted. The car has two battery capacity options: 18.4 kWh (100 km) and 41.5 kWh (210 km).
